By the end of the 2025–2026 school year, our blended learning tools will no longer be available.
These tools have served teachers well for the last five years as we all navigated unprecedented classroom environments that required students and teachers to be physically distant while also engaging in learning. Our blended learning tools were designed as a temporary measure to provide purposeful and collaborative ways to combine online and in-person learning. However, we know that our educational resources are most effective when used in person to spark discussions and inquiry in the classroom.
Where to find up-to-date classroom content
All materials in the blended learning tools suite remain available for free in Elections Canada’s ready-to-order resource kits and in the printable online versions of our lessons.
If you wish to continue using the materials in the Google apps suite for your blended classroom, we encourage you to make your own copies before June 2026. Keep in mind that these versions have information that will become outdated as we update and revise our resources. To make sure that the content in your Google apps copies is up to date, you can check the online version of the resource.
We will continue to support you and your students in learning and talking about elections and democracy. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to send us an email at education@elections.ca.
