At a glance
In this activity, students:
- learn the basic principles of a real election, and
- vote by secret ballot to choose a mascot that will best represent the spirit of their group from among one of the five candidates (Charlie the Raven, Desneiges the Polar Bear, Max the Walrus, Neevee the Caribou and Sam the Grey Wolf).
Subjects: This election simulation can be taught in any subject.
Grade: Kindergarten to grade 3
Time needed: 60 minutes
